MOOER Audio (Shenzhen MOOER Audio Co., Ltd.) was founded in 2010 in Shenzhen, China, by four friends who combined backgrounds in digital algorithms, hardware engineering, manufacturing, and sales under the tagline "Small, Smart, Original." The company built its early reputation on the Micro series, a line of compact, single-knob-per-function effects pedals that helped popularize the mini-pedal format now common across the effects industry. From that starting point, MOOER expanded into multi-effects processors, preamp and amplification products, loopers and drum machines, guitars and basses, and audio interfaces, alongside artist-collaboration gear such as the Ocean Machine reverb/delay pedal developed with Devin Townsend.
