About Cordoba
Cordoba's catalog is built around nylon-string instruments. Its guitar range spans classical, flamenco, fusion, left-handed, small-body, and thin-body models, organized into series that include Protégé, Iberia, Luthier, Fusion, Master, Mini, and Luthier Select. Alongside the guitars it makes ukuleles in soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone sizes, plus strings, hardware, gig bags, and cases, and it publishes guitar and ukulele lessons on its own site.
Three Cordoba models appear in House of Octave's guide to cheap classical guitars. The C3M has a solid Western red cedar top over mahogany back and sides, fan bracing, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and a bone nut and saddle. The C1M and C1M-CE are Protégé models with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, and the C1M-CE adds a cutaway and a Fishman Presys VT Classical pickup system. All three are full-size nylon-string guitars with a 650 mm scale, 19 frets, a dual-action truss rod, and Savarez strings.

Why we recognized Cordoba
The House of Octave Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose gear consistently stands out in our player-tested category guides. Cordoba earned it on the strength of the products below, judged the same way every product on this site is: assessed on build, tone, and playability, weighed against what players actually report over years of use, and ranked on merit.
Cordoba gear we rated highly
Cordoba C3M Classical Guitar
A solid Western red cedar top on a traditional classical body, over mahogany back and sides. A solid top is a single piece of wood vibrating as a unit, and cedar gives a warm, immediate voice that suits fingerstyle and classical repertoire. Cordoba's spec sheet lists fan bracing, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, a bone nut and saddle, a 650 mm scale, a 52 mm nut, and Savarez strings.
