About HAMPBACK
HAMPBACK is an electronic drum brand operated by Ningbo Kinlin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd, based in Ningbo, China. The company builds electronic drum kits across several tiers, from entry-level learning sets through more advanced flagship models, along with the matching amplifiers (sold as a "voice box") and accessories such as thrones, sticks, and drum blankets that round out a kit. Its products are sold internationally, including through Amazon.
The MK-0 Electric Drum Set is HAMPBACK's entry into the children's and early-beginner segment of that lineup. It pairs double-layer mesh heads across all four drum pads with a rack built at a compact, child-appropriate scale rather than a full-size adult rack wound down, and it folds flat for storage between practice sessions. A throne, sticks, and headphones are included, backed by a two-year warranty.

Why we recognized HAMPBACK
The House of Octave Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose gear consistently stands out in our player-tested category guides. HAMPBACK earned it on the strength of the products below, judged the same way every product on this site is: assessed on build, tone, and playability, weighed against what players actually report over years of use, and ranked on merit.

HAMPBACK MK-0 Electric Drum Set
Double-layer mesh heads sit on all four drum pads, the feature that lets a child learn proper stick rebound rather than a flat slap. The rack is built compact on purpose for a child's frame instead of an adult rack wound down, so a nine or ten year old can sit at it with their arms at a sensible height, and it folds flat enough to store under a bed or against a wall. A throne, sticks, and headphones are included, backed by a two-year warranty.
